Think Choose & Act
There are many aspects to your health: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. All areas of your health are affected by your choices in sleep, movement, and nutrition.
Being a part of a healthy, or unhealthy, community has a major impact on your individual health. It works both ways. You impact your community and your community impacts you. When you have negative thoughts or actions, it pushes people away and can divide people within your community. However, when you have positive thoughts and actions, then your energy and enthusiasm is shared and can multiply within your community. You can help make your community healthier! A healthy community does not mean every body is exactly alike and agrees on every topic.
You, and others around you, will have differing opinions and experiences. Discussing ideas with family or friends strengthens your understanding of these concepts. Discussions often lead to creativity. Being curious fuels the desire to learn.
You need to own your health by first learning, then thinking, then choosing, then acting. Once you are armed with knowledge, you can look inward to your own life, likes, abilities, and talents. This will take self-reflection.
Self-reflection begins with time spent alone in silence. Just being and not doing often leads to increased creativity, calmness, and clarity. It is only you who can make yourself healthy. Self-reflection can be strengthened by journaling a written plan of goals across the three components of health, which are sleep, movement, and nutrition. This allows you to track your intentions and progress in each of the components of health over time.
3 Components of health:
Sleep
Movement
Nutrition
It's all about your thoughts, your choices, and your actions. You are responsible for making the right choices for the way you want to live and feel. It's also important to know that you cannot control how others choose to live and feel. Another person will make his or her own choices that may be different from your choices. Differences in thinking and acting are what make you unique. You can be a positive influence within your community and it's important to recognize your community impacts your health. Just as you can think, choose, and act.....others can too!
